Shopping

Blackpool Hotels & Guesthouses - Houndshill Shopping CentreShopping in Blackpool is a mix of traditional seaside shops, novelty shops, market stalls and the largest collection of pound shops probably ever seen in the UK. The Blackpool town center has a comprehensive shopping high street with all the major UK names to be found, plus a newly refurbished indoor shopping center called "Hounds Hill". You are never very far from the local shops, markets and gift shops selling something for just about everyone.

Fortune tellers sit scattered along the promenade which is also full of gift shops, markets and arcades, including the famous Coral Island arcade prominently located on Blackpool's Golden Mile. One of Europe's largest arcades with games, rides, bingo and slot machines to keep all happy 365 days of the year. Nearby are also other quaint smaller seaside towns that are accessible via the main tram system that runs along the Blackpool's promenade.

Places like the smaller town of Cleveleys, Bispham, St-Annes and Fleetwood. All unique in character and all have a style all of there own. The Blackpool trams, buses and taxis are all very frequent meaning that the car is not the main form of transport in Blackpool. Listed below is further information on shopping and local areas:

Houndshill Shopping Centre

Situated in the centre of Blackpool beside the Blackpool Tower complex and is literally one minute from the main Blackpool promenade.

The indoor centre is a great place to shop or choose a gift to take home. LOcated at the heart of Blackpool Town Centre, Houndshill is the only enclosed shopping centre in the town, it is situated at the heart of the prime retail area and supported by the town's multi-storey car parks.

Retailers include, Mark One, Dorothy Perkins, Early Learning, Superdrug, Pilot, Claire's Accessories, Clinton Cards.

Fleetwood

Fleetwood is a working fishing town that boasts a lovely promenade with picturesque views over Morecambe Bay to the Lake District. Famous for its large indoor Market holding over 250 stalls in 3 large heated halls, plus it now has a fine discount outlet centre called Freeport with up to 70% off high street store names.

Fleetwood Market

One of the Oldest Traditional Markets in Lancashire! Over 250 Stalls Indoor and Outdoor, 80% Under Cover. 3 Heated Halls

Facilities For Disabled People, Car and Coach Parking, Dogs allowed on Lead

Opening Times:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (June - October)

Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (November - May) and Bank Holidays Farmers Market every 3rd Friday in the Month

Cleveleys

A traditional seaside town full of cafes, shops and little gift shops were you can hunt and find the perfect gift or present for a loved one. The smells of fresh fish and chips fill the area and make you think of the next meal. The seafront has been redesigned with golden sandy beaches that stretch right the way along the bay.

Bispham

Another area of Blackpool, less busy but no less unique. It has a smaller selection of shops, cafes and restaurants without the hustle and bustle of the main resort Blackpool. Bispham sits above the beaches looking straight across the sea with lovely ways along green coastal paths.

Lytham - St Annes

Much quieter than the above, Lytham has charm, style and a rich characteristic of designer shops and special gift shops. The way of life is more relaxed than that of its big neighbor Blackpool however the town is far from asleep with M&S and fine dress shops selling individual outfits for that special occasion.
